Hi,
Lucene provides search mechanism only for staging sandbox.
How do I search from user sandbox ?
Is there any way we can easily search using Lucene? or need another mechanism?
Help

Hi,
There is no way you can search User Sandbox using Lucene. Thats serious drawback of Alfresco WCM at this point,
as your preview wont work OTB for all the content that are served through Lucene queries.
Design principle is to use Lucene queries minimal in your project.
You have to use other methods (like navigating that content via AVM Paths) etc to get hold of those content you are trying to search.

You can turn on searching of author sandboxes if it's required. However normally you would only search against staging and live sandboxes.
You can also deploy to a test server for preview purposes.

Rogers,
As you suggested here, you can turn on searching of author sandboxes if it's required. Can you please provide more details?
Coz I had a open ticket for the same issue in my last project and I was suggested that Lucene queries would not work against
any author's sandbox. We were using Alfresco 2.2 SP2 that time.
Is this feature available now in 3.1 onwards?
I would be really thank ful if you can guide us here.
Thanks

Alfresco 3.1 & 3.2 does not currently support indexing user sandbox (as confirmed by Alfresco support team)
