As far as I know you need to be in a web project space to use web forms but web forms is way cool.  So…

You create a web form (There is documentation on this in the wiki)

Then add it to a web space.  At this point the UI will allow you to create new documents based on the xml.

Deployment is really easy to set up in the latest release of alfresco.  You can put an agent on a server to deploy to a disk or deploy directly to another alfresco repository – the deployment end points are configured in the web project setup.

WCM is extremely cool.  It will be nice when (I'm hoping) some of the  general features find their way in to the DM space.

What are you publishing the XML to?

Thanks Russ.

I will give some details regarding our requirement and it wud be really great if anyone can provide help on this.

Say we have a web page, and we are dividing it into various content types. Our page has a left navigation, header, footer, body etc..
We want to make each of these as content types .i.e., a left navigation content type wud provide us with a template to enter the urls and display texts.
Currently we are able to create custom content types for this and create content using them and preview the content using a template.
Once this is done we need put together the contents created using these custom content types to generate the final web page.
We can create a template which will read these contents and then preview.
But do we have an option to generate say an html file after these contents are put together using the template? .i.e., publish it?

I hope I have given enough information.
Im new to WCM.. rather content management itself.. so i might have used the wrong terminology..

Also, is there an option to publish the content just like preview?

Thanks in advance

You bet you can do that … the best way to familiarize yourself with WCM is to look through our wiki, request an enterprise trial (register with the Content Community) and take a spin through our Evaluation Guide.  I think most of your questions will get answered there (and probably lead to new ones!).
