Hello All…!!

I couldn't find anything in the documentation or the forum, on the search results page, is it possible to include a small summary or extract of the document along with each result , ie a result of the same style the searches of google.

Before using alfresco, I used the IBM OmniFind YAHOO EDITION where this feature exists and that is also built with Lucene.

Some of you know how I can "simulate" this functionality?

For example in some book about LUCENE describe how built this functionality they use named as "Highlighting query terms", is posible work directly with LUCENE in ALFRESCO ??

I have also seen the option to use some other tool like SOLR or Nutch, someone have some experience?

Thank you very much for your answers!

We've implemented this for a client. Store the text version of the content the repository for the content you want high lighted. Then follow the instructions in the Lucene book to implement highlighting.

SOLR / Nutch can be used. However, they won't give permission checking on your searches.

Could you please provide some details on how you implemented the search term highlighting? Thanks, Rudolf
