In an attempt to fix the spam issue that has been plaguing the forums for some time, changes were made to the registration process. With these new changes came some new issues. One of those being that new users cannot post new topics to the Alfresco Forum.
If you are looking to post and contribute to the Alfresco forum you can do two things. One, post here in this thread (Which I think any user should be able to do) and I will grant your account user rights. Or two, send an email to Community@alfresco.com with the account that needs posting privileges. Either way I will be able to see that you need to have adjustments made to your account and I will act on that promptly.

After checking your account, it looks like all the user rights are in order. I see that you created a forum topic shortly before posting here. Are you still seeing the issue that you are describing?
I still can see this post, as i created it I still was able to create a new topic. But as i wanted to create another one an hour later there was no button for creating a new topic any more. So the situation is until now.
As you enter any of the sub-sections of the forums there should be a button on the top left of the page that says "New Topic". With this you can start your own topic.
