Can anyone tell me if there is a freeware addon anywhere for outlook that will allow us to add metadata from outlook. We are trying to get Alfresco taken up by staff members but an important issue to get around is when data can be saved from outlook and we can add meta data when saving. We have no budget to spend so freeware is important.
I have searched extensively and found add ons like ConXmail but there is a cost associated with this and we are in a catch 22 situation as we have no budget. If we can get a sucessful system up and running we may be able to look at pay systems in the future.
So would appreciate any info on freeware outlook add ons for alfresco Share environment.
Outlook is an email client, it does not normally process "metadata". First thing Are you using outlook as a client for alfresco since you also mention Alfresco Share?
No, there no free MS Outlook plugin/addon that is able to store content within Alfresco incl. user specified meta-data. But you can use Alfresco out-of-the box IMAP capabilities. cheers, jan
