Hello and Thank You All for your time,
I have been working with Alfresco for less than six months, and am wondering if there is a way to specify permissions on a specific folder within a document library.
Our situation:
We have created a Templates folder of Excel spreadsheets in our Document Library.
We want to ALLOW everyone access to that folder, but then DENY access to save anything back to that folder.
Users should be allowed to save their modified templates to any other folder, just not the Templates folder.
Is this at all possible? If so, how?
Thank You,
Jim

Login as admin (or site manager?), enter the regarding site in Alfresco Share and set the permissions of the template folder via folder action menu for all roles to consumer permission. Be aware, that the content owned by your users are still writeable for the owners. Thus you might change the ownership to the site manager.
Kind regards,
Markus
