I have found out that files (for example PDFs) are not indexed correctly by lucene.
When I import the same file via the Alfresco Web interface, the file is indexed correct and I can search over all the content.
Is this a known issue?

It depends: if you choose for example English when you log on to webclient and your OS is configured to use something other than English as language settings than you also will have different locals.

Hi
There was an issue with CIFS renameing files (from office temporary files types) and not fixing up the mimetype.
This has been fixed as far as I know.
Check the mimetype of your document in the node browser.

In other words: if you use a different language on you Windows clients than you use with Alfresco Webclient, than you will face this problem.
Hi all,
I think I have this "problem" in Alfresco 3.3G:
I installed the italian pack for Explorer;
I uploaded a couple of files via CIFS;
now
If I log in Explorer selecting "italian" the search will return all these files;
If I log in Explorer selecting "english" the search won't return anything;
I find strange that this is the correct behaviour … don't you?

Can anyone explain me (or show me where I can read something about) this CIFS' behaviour?
Thanks
Ale
