FileReceiver and Deploy to Tomcat

Hey everybody,

i've deployed the alfrescowww-sample to a file-receiver 2.1. After that i created a war-file.

Now, i can deploy this war successfully to a stand-alone tomcat 6.0.14 with the tomcat application manager, but wenn i want to start this application, i receive the following error message in the log. Has anybody seen this before?

Doesn't look like it's something to do with Alfresco.   Did you need to have SSIs enable on your runtime tomcat?  If not, can you comment out the SSI servlet in your web.xml and see if you get the same error?

Hi Kevin,

i've comment out the SSi-section in the web.xml. Now i can deploy the alfrescowww.war and the website is running. But when i browse to the website, i become a "http status 404 - /alfrescowww/index.jsp"-error. In the webapps-folder i can see the alfrescowww.war and the alfrescowww-folder with META-INF and WEB-INF, but no index.jsp. Are there any configurations in the website i have to do or is this a tomcat-problem?

I've got these following cases
1. I deployed alfresco sample in tomcat 6.0.13 but I can't start the webapp. I got error "SEVERE: Error filterStart".
2. I tried to comment SSI filter in the webapp. It was running but when I run /media/release/index.jsp. I got this error
javax.el.ELException: Problems calling function 'pr:getPressReleases'
….

root cause

java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: org/alfresco/jndi/AVMFileDirContext
   org.alfresco.web.forms.ServletContextFormDataFunctionsAdapter.<init>(ServletContextFormDataFunctionsAdapter.java:41)
   org.alfresco.web.pr.PressReleaseBean.getPressReleases(PressReleaseBean.java:50)
3. I uncomment SSI filter in conf/web.xml, uncomment SSI filter in webapp/web.xml. But  the webapp failed to start up.
4. I tried to uncommnet SSI servlet instead of SSI filter in conf/web.xml. But still got error filterStart when start tomcat.

How can I deploy/run alfresco sample correctly?

Hi,
To enable SSI, I also add privileged="true" in context.xml.
I also modified SSI mapping, url-pattern to /*.jsp. Now the webapp can run. But when I request ../media/release/index.jsp, It just display some headers, It even don't display the navigation. Note that it run normally when I run in virtualization server.
I tried to change url-pattern to  /*.html. Then I got the error
java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: org/alfresco/jndi/AVMFileDirContext
I found an similar issue in Jira (http://issues.alfresco.com/browse/WCM-955)
Are there any idea ??

Virtual server is working
Preview my press release on virtual server is working
deploy to ROOT folder on same tomcat where alfresco is deployed is working
navigate on sample alfresco.com website is working
If i go to "About us"->News i have error

Alfresco website sample can't be deployed ?
Is there a way to solve this ?

I was also unable do run the deployed site, with the error:

I've changed the tomcat configuration to include the "privileged" option. My configuration is:

Finally, I was able to deploy the alfresco demo web site (it took days!).

Hi,

I try to access a file locally from my app, but context root is set to C:\Apache\Tomcat_6.0\ not with the webapps,

private static String ISSUETRACKERMAP = "config\\config\\application\\issueTrackerMap.xml";

and I placed under C:\Apache\Tomcat_6.0\webapps\issuetracker-1.0\WEB-INF\classes\config\config\application\issueTrackerMap.xml

I got exception,
java.io.FileNotFoundException: C:\Apache\Tomcat_6.0\config\config\application\issueTrackerMap.xml (The system cannot find the path specified)

where did you put the context entry ?

I created a context.xml under META-INF and added the following entry,

also I have entry in tomcat web.xml,
