Hi!

I can't seem to get the Records Management module to work properly. I can see the Company Home > Records Space but when I follow the steps to create a File Plan as described there http://wiki.alfresco.com/wiki/Records_Management_User_Guide#Creating_a_File_Plan, I just can't see the template…

I tried another approach: "Based on an existing space".

I tried to create my records management space using Company Home > Records Space > DOD Records. I ended up with this error shown in a yellow box :

Please correct the errors below then click Finish.
Failed to create new space due to error: null

Sooo…

Is there anybody out there who has the Records Management Module up and running? Please, post what you did to make it work, or even better, go on and edit the RM wiki to add a full installation procedure!

Thanks in advance,

Rushman

Hi,

This is an issue with the documentation on the Wiki.

In the verison of the records management AMP released with 2.0 you should find that create custom space dialog also includes the ability to create a FilePlan … have you tried doing this?

If you cant see the file plan type then the RM module may not be installed correctly.

Cheers,
Roy

Thanks Roy,

I can see the FilePlan type now, when I start from scratch. I just hope some team member takes two secs to update the wiki page…

Hello,

I ´ve just installed the RM module with success (after reading a couple of posts javascript:emoticon('')
Wink), but when I try to create a space withe the fileplan I have this message:

Failed to execute script 'alfresco/module/recordsManagement/script/onCreateNode_rmaFilePlan.js': PermGen space

Any idea?

Thanks for your help.

Only ever seen that error in Jboss - is that what you are using? Anyway, you need to add this to your JAVA_OPTS variable in the server startup file:
-XX:MaxPermSize=128m

That should fix the problem.

Thanks,

Kevin
