We are currently looking into the management of groups, trying to achieve some special, system-wide capabilities for a certain group of users.

While browsing the wiki, I came across this text regarding the AuthorityService-implementation (on this page: http://wiki.alfresco.com/wiki/Security_and_Authentication😞

"There is simple implementation of the authority service in the open source version of the product. It does not support groups. It does identifiy which users have administrator rights in the repository. It supports the special authority for all users.

The professional and enterprise networks include support for groups and their management."

My question is, is this quote correct? Is there indeed still such a difference between the open source and the enterprise versions?

Hi

It is completely outdated - now community network has all features of enterprise network, including groups

The differences are in support, release cycle and certification

That doc needs a good update Smiley Sad I've now removed the incorrect lines at least.

Thanks,

Kevin
