External DAM Integration

hello, I have requirement where i need to manage 50000 images as a web solution, Receommended Alfresco as potential solution, but alog with Alfresco, i need to integrate with one of the external DAM (Customer need).
Q: Would somebody tell me, Does Alfresco support external DAM integration for storing images and Retrieving images from DAM?
Q2: I need to have site template for bulk upload images, along with other info like description, but i want to store only  images onto external DAM with rest of the information in CMS repository and just need to have reference of DAM image in to my CMS? Is it possible in this scenario?

Hello, Thanks for this info. But i am looking from Alfresco architecture perspective,
Q1. Is Alfresco flexible to integrate with external DAM
Q2. Does Alfresco recommends any specific external DAM's

I have below specific requirements
1. As a design, While using Alfresco authoring template, i need to upload images onto specific directory of external DAM
2. Using some kind of DAM API's, I need to retrive all my uploaded image URI's, so that i can display all those in a page as list of images (Images rendered from DAM)
