Execute file as template

Hi guys;

I have an app that is grabbing a file from the repo and streaming it's content to the user.

Wondering if there is a way to process this content as a template, this would allow me to have built in <#list> and access model objects.

Any help is Greatly appreciated.

well Its seems like there still something missing in your requirement.
We have a presentation templates in Alfresco which we could attache to any content to show that in a particular manner.
But then where your application will come in picture?
and why do you need list?

The application is a modified QuickStart.  My main template is pulling in content from various asset in the Repo and streaming their content. 

Hoping to stream the content and have template directive executed.
