Hi all,
I downloaded & installed the Community Edition on a test box, and noticed that it is for "Evalution Use Only" in the menu etc.  I thought this was the "free" version?  That you could use the Community Edition however you wanted, but that you would not get any support?  Could someone help clear this up?

Thanks,
Rob

Thanks for the prompt reply.  So would it be safe to say that 4.0 is a beta, and I should be using 3.4?

Thanks,
Rob

Maybe an Alfresco engineer should answer that.

As far as I know, 4.0 should be a stable version, but it may be a little buggy. In the release notes they say:
The following note provides information on Alfresco Community 4.0.a release, which is the first community release for 4.0 version. This release will be followed by more 4.0 version community releases in coming months.
Being the first community release for 4.0, this has undergone limited testing and care should taken before upgrading any previous Alfresco Community version with this version.

Cheers,
Jordi.
