Hi,
I am trying to migrate alfresco 3stable to enterprise 3.1 trial version and I am getting below error:

Get in touch with Alfresco for a trial Enterprise license.
The Enterprise version can be used for 30 days without a license. However, I assume your original Alfresco installation is over 30 days old. Hence, it is starting up read only mode.

It was working before migrated from 3stable day before. I have followed the steps from wiki(http://wiki.alfresco.com/wiki/General_Upgrade_Process). I wanted to know if I am missing something while doing migration. Please let me know.

Depending on what service pack the 3.1 trial is you may still be trying to "downgrade" rather than "upgrade".
As I've said before. As and when you buy the Enterprise version you will get help from Alfresco in upgrading.
