Hi guys;
My company wants a proto-type of an email system that will send emails whenever a document specific property change.
For instance- the property custom:status changes on the Document of content type custom:document.
This would trigger a notification email to a user.

Any and All help is greatly appreciated.

The way I would do this is to add a policy for  the type or aspect that defines custom:status

Hi Drozes

Did you used the policy of Alfresco, or simply tested on the type or aspect?
I posted the topic which is mentioned below and just want to notify a user in Alfresco when a document is changed to a custom content type. However this change on a document does not trigger the action.
I hope maybe your solution will fix my problem.

Hi mkie;

I used the 'manage rules' options on a folder.  Through that options I set the following:

When:
     Items are updated

If all criteria is met:
    Content of type of subtype: My custom type
    custom attribute 'contains': custom string

Perform Action:
    Send Email

If the default options do not work for you, I'd recommend looking at the 'More' option in the 'If all criteria are met:' section. (end of dropdown)

Good Luck.
