I just installed the latest version of 3.3 from SVN.  In compiling and deploying it, when I click on my profile, there is no edit option.  Is something wrong here or is that something new?

Edit:  Seems to be based on this check that is new <#if profile.capabilities.isMutable> but not sure what it's checking.

Figured out the problem, just not the solution.  I noticed when Sync is off the edit page loads fine.  When Sync is on I get a blank view.  Noticed it seems to be related to the removal of references to skype and instantmsg from the userprofile.get.html.ftl file.  Figured maybe somewhere else it was loading skype/instantmsg information and causing issues so removed references from person.lib.ftl, users.js, and profile.js but same deal.  Anyone know what I need to do to make the form show when removing all code references to skype and instantmsg from the edit user page?

The form still references those properties - do you mean you have removed them in your customisations? If so it might just be matter of ensuring there are no references to those properties in the javascript and freemarker.

Is it possibile to extract the right files from the last nightly build and replace wrong files in 3.3G in order to make this feature working?

Same problem
My users imported from OpenLDAP can't edit own profile ("edit profile" button is not visible)
I try to change profile.js and profile folder with same elements at svn - no success

How is working isEditable flag?

I'm running CE 3.3g and using LDAP sync, what version of CE should I be running to allow users to edit Alfresco only attributes like the avatar and company details options?  At the moment the Edit Profile button is not appearing, is there something I need to edit to allow it to show, if so what and where is it?

That depends.  Are you compiling your own version or installing the pre-compiled versions?  If you are compiling, than from SVN download revision 20576.  That is the latest stable version I would try using for now and it has the fix/update in it.
