Hi,

Did you try it on Eclipse Indigo? Because Helios is not supported for Designer 5.9
Did you use the Eclipse update site?

Best regards,

I tried it on Juno, then Indigo, and then Helios with the same results. [http://activiti.org/userguide/#eclipseDesignerInstallation]
All are fresh installs of Eclipse SDK.

I'm using the URL:
Activiti BPMN 2.0 designer
http://activiti.org/designer/update/

Hi,

I have the same problem.
How have you resolved that ?

Thanks,

Paola

The error states that you're missing an EMF dependency. Have you checked the "Contact all update sites when installing" checkbox? You need to be able to install EMF dependencies from one of the update sites.

I had abandoned this and I've now tried again, but I see the same error.
I have checked the  "Contact all update sites when installing" checkbox

Are you behind a firewall or something? It seems like Eclipse isn't able to retrieve all the dependencies.
Are you able to install other plugins?

For what it's worth, I just had the same issue when trying to install into a fresh Juno instance on Win7 64-bit too.

My issue turned out to be as described here.

Basically, I needed to run Eclipse as administrator before the other update sites would populate properly. It's likely that moving my Eclipse install out of the Program Files directory would've fixed it too, but I haven't tried that.

Cheers,
Andrew
