Dynamic Model in Alfresco Share

Hi,

I'm trying to deploy a dynamic model in Alfresco 4. I've followed the instructions described in the Dynamic Models wiki page, but it seems that it only works for Alfresco Explorer.

I want to show custom aspects and custom content types in the Share interface.

I have deployed my fooModel.xml in repository > data dictionary > models.
My model has the "Model Active" property set to true.
Then in repository > data dictionary > web client extensions I have created a web-client-config-custom.xml file.

My model is working if I deploy it in Tomcat > shared > classes > alfresco > …

Maybe I should put a share-config-custom.xml file in web client extensions, like I was doing when deploying it in Tomcat > shared, instead of a web-client-config-custom.xml?
Any help will be appreciated!

Cheers,
Jordi

Hi Jordi,

Those given steps are for web-client only.
For share I don't think you have that feature yet.
It just load the web-client changes dynamically but for making changes in the share you have to change share-config-custom.xml
and there is no way we can load it dynamically as far as I know.
Please let us know if anyone has done that.

Thanks for the response!

It would be great to be able to make these changes dynamically, though.

Cheers,
Jordi.

Yes, Indeed hope alfresco engineers device the same soon.

Is there a ticket we can vote/track the progress for dynamic models w/ Share interface updates?

(support modifying models without restarting [exists], and having those model's properties and available content models/types for pulldowns available through the Share UI without restarting)

https://issues.alfresco.com/jira/browse/ALF-11855  <– mentioned regarding multitenant support

mentions 12258, but alf-12258 not visible/no permission, so not sure where to go to watch

Sorry, still getting 'permission violation' for alf-12258, alf-4969, and enh-1300.  Are those tickets only visible to Alfresco engineers?  Just wanted to vote for them 🙂

I would really like to vote for them too, but they are indeed inaccessible. Dynamic models and workflows in Share would be a very, very valuable addition for us.

Now .. Do we have any option to do this dynamically…?

Thanks.
