drag n drop a file from an explorer window

Is it possible to drag n drop a file from an explorer window right into a content panel? If so how do i best do this?

Just to let you know that I've started a project on the forge : http://forge.alfresco.com/projects/dragdrop/

It's still in alpha, but it does pretty much what you ask.

Firefox only for now, an IE version is on it's way.
