Downgrade alfresco version

Is it possible to downgrade alfresco from higher version to lower?

Yes it is ***possible***.   However you will have to undo any upgrades and migrate the data yourself.

If I understand properly,
is it like setting up a blank instance of lower version, and migrate data (possible way is ACP?) ?

Generally whenever we upgrade it makes changes to DB schema and other information like patches executed etc…
So seems, reverting back to lower version will not delete/undo DB schema changes. Am I thinking right?
