Document version labeling / tagging

Hi,
I'm interested to use this tool for a big bunch of project and product documents. Before deciding to go further i'm looking for some show stoppers. I did some investigation and try. Search on forums and google, but without success 😞

Is there a way to set a label/tag on a specific version of a document. e.g we have a product documentation which is the same for several product version. I would like to be able to set a tag/label on Version 3.0 of the document like SW2.3.4 and later on Version 5.0 of the same document SW2.4.1.

In the same run. I should also be able to get using URL or alike to a specific document version using tag/label.
and last but not least: I should be able to set this label to a whole tree of documents (baselining)

Thx

I too am interested in this. Does anyone know a way in which this can be done?

I have received an answer on this:

I believe the answer is no, tags cannot be version specific. I believe that is because tags are associations, and associations are always to the latest version of an object, not to a specific version of an object.

Has anything changed in Alfresco since October 2012 to support this? Is there another way of achieving this goal other than using tags?
