disappearing act of spaces/items in 'Browse Spaces'

I have an issue every now and then that content/spaces are missing when I try to browse to them from the "Space Browser" (browse.jsp).  But when I navigate to them using the "Navigator" in the left panel or when I search for the content it still exists and I can drill down to it.

Below is a screenshot of the problem.

Notice the 'WarmzoneSite' space in the left folder show 'articles, media, news, pressroom' and the right panel shows all the others. One observation is that is it a different icon, but that is all I can find that is related.  If I search for these folders, they show up in the search result.  Also, if I search for them in the NodeBrowser, they are there.

Also, this was working fine until I got a report from a user that their data was missing!   :shock:

Any ideas on what would cause this?  I have not been able to duplicate it in my dev environment.

This is getting worse.  I am missing data and folders all over the place (In the Browse Spaces).

Do I need to rebuild my lucene indexes???

I guess this is fixed.  A simple restart of Alfresco and the problem went away.

Still, anyone have any ideas as to why this would have behaved this way?

This continues to happen and I'm not sure why.  This time a reboot did not fix the problem.  I had to go to the space-detail and save some change (or appearance of a change) and it would show back up again.

Any thoughts??
