Disable attachment extraction on inbound emails

Hi
Is it possible to disable attachment extraction of inbound emails so that the emails are stored as .eml files?
(Note that I'm refering to the SMTP server and not the IMAP server)

Not without changing code 

Its actually a slightly bigger problem than just "extract attachments" since the content must be persisted differently. 

Contributions to do this will be welcome…
