Difference between a Job and an Activiti like UserTask / Service Task

What is the difference between a Job and an Activiti like UserTask / Service Task ?

Hi,

job is executed byt the job executor (http://activiti.org/userguide/index.html#advanced_parseHandlers).
Job can execute service task or user tasks.

Does that mean if i don't have any async task / Timers then there will not be any Job created .
