Develop and deploy Joomla site using wcm?

I have some questions about using Alfresco to develop, customize, and deploy Joomla-based sites. I've found plenty of info about using Joomla with Alfresco for CMS, but that's not what I'm looking for. I want to use wcm sandboxes and workflow approval to create, customize, and preview Joomla sites, and then deploy those sites as "Joomla only" to a live server. Here are my question. Any help or links would be greatly appreciated.

Has anyone used wcm to build and deploy a Joomla site?
Is it as simple as uploading the Joomla installation files to a sandbox and running the install in the virtual environment?
How does Alfresco handle the mysql database?
Does it create a virtual one? If so, can it deploy the database as well as the site files to a live server?

Thanks!

Hi,

We are also looking for a similar solution. Use Joomla as the front end and make use of Alfresco's WCM capabilities. Is it possible? Can this be implemented using a framework other than Spring Surf (refering to WCM Quick Start app).

Thanks

Yes of course its possible.     There are many web sites using alfresco as a back end and various frameworks on the front end.
