Hi,
Following twitter, my problem seems to be a common problem:
I'm unable to connect with Alfresco Cloud or on-Premise Alfresco. I've tried a few different Accounts & Systems but I've to kill the windows process everytime.
When pressing the Login-button the Client hangs.
Win7 64 Bit & AlfrescoSync-0.8.0.4

Is there somewhere a log?
Cheers, jan

I think this is a different topic.

It seems to be saying your Cloud credentials are not correct - are you trying to sync your desktop with your own private server or the Alfresco in the Cloud?  If the Cloud, then you need to have a premium account - it doesn't work against freemium accounts currently.

Thanks
PAul.

Hi Paul, do you mean that if i use free alfresco cloud account i can't sync it with my computer?

i live in a country where internet's connection just good for sometimes and sometimes it's become very bad.
what if i need to upload a documents and my internet connection become down? i think i need to save it in a folder or something like that that upload the docs automately when my computer connects to the internet so that i would never forget to upload a document to alfresco.
Please help.

I get the same error, even though I'm trying to connect to a local Alfresco site (4.2.c) and have selected "Private" as the Account Type.
In the Alfresco DesktopSync log, I see this error:

DEBUG RemoteFileStore - Cloud: Test Connection
ERROR RemoteFileStore - Cannot connect to webdav [https://10.12.31.22:8443/alfresco/]
ERROR RemoteFileStore - javax.net.ssl.SSLException: hostname in certificate didn't match: <10.12.31.22> != <_alfresco repository_>
ERROR RemoteFileStore - Cloud: Invalid credentials

(NB, I added the "_" characters in " <_alfresco repository_> " above, otherwise the text was hidden.
1. Why does is state "Cloud: Test Connection" when I'm connecting to a Private Account type?

2. I can login with the same url and credentials, so the "Invalid credentials" message is misleading.

3. Viewing the certificate from a browser, it seems to be the standard Alfresco certificate. Issued To info is this: CN=Alfresco Repository  O=Alfresco Software Ltd  OU=Unknown

This is a standard 4.2.c. Community ed. installation.

Seems that webdav is listening on a different protocol and port http://{ip}:8080/alfresco
Misleading error log.
Changing the url allows AlfrescoSync to connect and proceed to next page and select sites etc. to sync.

Hi all,

I'm encountering same difficulties:

if I use the url without the port indication I got the log:

12:32:26.388 DEBUG RemoteFileStore - Cloud: Test Connection
12:32:29.079 ERROR RemoteFileStore - Cannot connect to webdav [http://url/alfresco/]
12:32:29.080 ERROR RemoteFileStore - javax.net.ssl.SSLException: hostname in certificate didn't match: <url> != <ua>
12:32:29.080 ERROR RemoteFileStore - Cloud: Invalid credentials

using https protocol got the some log:

12:27:44.170 DEBUG RemoteFileStore - Cloud: Test Connection
12:27:45.980 ERROR RemoteFileStore - Cannot connect to webdav [https://url/alfresco/]
12:27:45.981 ERROR RemoteFileStore - javax.net.ssl.SSLException: hostname in certificate didn't match: <url> != <ua>
12:27:45.981 ERROR RemoteFileStore - Cloud: Invalid credentials

Changing protocol and port as well as captnBob did I found:

13:22:03.213 DEBUG RemoteFileStore - Cloud: Test Connection
13:22:28.227 ERROR RemoteFileStore - Cannot connect to webdav [http://url:8080/alfresco/]
13:22:28.228 ERROR RemoteFileStore - org.apache.http.conn.ConnectTimeoutException: Connect to url:8080 timed out
13:22:28.228 ERROR RemoteFileStore - Cloud: Invalid credentials

But as you can see this doesn't resolve my issues.

Please note that I can connect with my mac built-in connect client on-line on webdav with url: http://url/alfresco/webdav

Any suggestion?

Ciao

Hi,
  I am trying to help a friend set up a dyndns alfresco server and desktop sync. I was able to setup the server with dyndns account for remote access via share, webdav and ftp.  But I am having trouble with the Alfresco DesktopSync software. I am using Win 7 64 bit, JDK 8, Alfresco 5.0.d and Alfresco Desktop Sync 1.0.0.1.  I get a timeout exception, but I am not sure if its something else.  I am able to log in, but I am unabel to fetch any favorite folders.  I have created a set of folder in Sites/Document Library and also in Shared/Repository however I get no folders on sync even though I set them all as favorite folders.  Did I miss something in the setup or installation ?.  I am attaching my log file.  BTW is it normal for the Alfresco DesktopSync program to consume 167 MB ?

TIA !

Warm Regards,
Ruben.
