am looking to deploy alfresco on large scale for a global client with a presence in more than 12 countries. any pointers on anyone who has done a massive deployment like this?

1. i have seen alfresco teams, but i also want countries to manage their own documents locally.
2. can i have one master alfresco at head office, and local installations at regional offices? how do i push specific content from head office to regional offices?
3. what are the implications and possibilities for such a project?

kindly assist with your opinions.

thanks.

Hi,

We already did that in our company but we have no usecases to send you.

Alfresco provides a replication service that allows to send document between alfresco instances:
http://blogs.alfresco.com/wp/phampton/2011/02/21/the-power-of-alfresco-content-replication/

After, depending of your architecture and infrastructure, it's possible to deploy the UI part (Alfresco Share) closed to final users but have one logical repository.
The clustering architecture can help you, but again it's dependent of your network.

So if you have more information, I can help you.
