Customising site invite workflow

Hi,

I am looking to customise the invitation workflow slightly to add a few additional properties defined on the site to be displayed on the workflow but have been digging around various files with not much progress as to where this needs to be changed.

Can anyone point me in the direction of what would need to be changed, or alternatively some resources/tutorials if there are any?

Thanks,

Garry

Hi,

What is the kind of customization you want to do? Which invitation workflow you want to modify? nominated/moderated?

Please let me know so as I can help you.

Thanks,

Hi,

I have added a custom aspect with properties to certain sites and if that aspect exists on the site would like to pass the properties through to be used in the templates or just decide whether to show them on the template.  I think I had located the templates in use but couldn't understand exactly how the properties that were currently being used got there.

One question I do have is what is the difference between the nominated and moderated?

Thanks,

Garry

I think I have found the difference between the two, please correct me if I am wrong

Moderated = User already exists and is just being added to the site
Nominated = New user with user details sent in email.

We really need to modify both as we need this extra value in everywhere the user can gain accept access to the site.

Thanks Again

Garry

That's not quite the difference.
Moderated is where an existing member applies to join a moderated site.   With approval from a site administrator.  Prior to approval they can't see any of the sites contents.
Nominated is where an existing member nominates someone else to join a site.

Anyway to answer your question you will need to add your extra properties via the invitation service (you will need to make a code change) and then display them with the appropriate templates.

Excellent, thank you for that information

Will start looking at the invitation service
