Hi,

I'm trying to create a custom theme for Alfresco Share. But following the instruction on the Share Wiki http://wiki.alfresco.com/wiki/Share#themes doesn't do the trick.

Does anyone know how to actually create an extra theme without editing the default theme?

Same thing happened to me, can anyone provide some help?

I got it to work by following the directions on the wiki but changing the theme setting in the web-framework-config-application.xml file as well.

A UI for managing and changing the Theme is planned for a later release.

Thanks,
Mike

But in alfwf.war there isn't the web-framework-config-application.xml file.
And if you change the application-defaults/theme in alfresco/web-framework-config.xml, the root object ${theme} contains 'default' anyway.
It's a bug or it's me?
(yes i restarted tomcat)

I suspect there isn't yet theme-selection support in the alfwf.war. Add a new web-framework-config-application.xml and copy over the theme config.

Share in the current version Alfresco Labs 3.2 still does not have a select/customize site theme option. I stumbled upon this slide http://www.slideshare.net/AlfrescoUE/alfresco-share-themes-presentation
The Alfresco Roadmap wiki mentions that originally planned for labs 3e (Q2 2009) Share should have the custom themes option.

What is the planned target Labs release of Share that will include a custom theme interface that resembles more or less the design in the slideshare wireframe presentation?

Regards,

Alex

PS: Same question/remark applies to more Share features that did not make it into Labs 3.2. Perhaps the Alfresco Wiki (2009) Roadmap page could be updated in accordance to the latest releases.

I do understand that Labs 3.2 Preview #1 is not the final Labs 3.2 release.

I agree that our roadmap page needs a review - I'll remind the correct people here.

The theme manager UI isn't especially high priority at the moment, as it's considered a "nice to have" for a few users whereas we have many features we'd like to add which would benefit the majority. We have identified the need to at least ship a secondary theme, so that theme authors have a base to work from and I'm hopeful this will be shipped with v3.2.

Thanks,
Mike
