Creation of Web Forms (Not for creation of content)

Hi All,

I'm extremely new to Alfresco having only very recently installed it and worked my way through the WCM Evaluation guide.

I've been asked if it's possible to use Alfresco to create a web form that would sit on a website allowing users to enter data.  The problem is when I try and seach for how this might be achieved I return lots of data about how to create web forms allowing content creators to create press releases, articles etc. but nothing that states how I would create a form for display on the website.

A good example of this would be a form that would sit on the website allowing users to enter contact details and a general enquiry that would then be pushed back into the Alfreso workflow for someone to action.

Has anyone got an idea of where I would start?

Many thanks.

Alfresco WCM isn't (yet) that kind of WCMS - instead it's primary purpose is to support the production of editorial content (content created by dedicated content authors within the organisation).  Currently the delivery tier (the public-facing web site / application) is left as an exercise for the implementer, although Web Studio (see http://wiki.alfresco.com/wiki/Web_Studio) will change that.

This is also described in more detail at: http://blogs.alfresco.com/wp/pmonks/2008/11/05/web-cmss-dissected/.

Cheers,
Peter
