Creating new property for Category

Hi All,

I have a task that i need to have a new property called "category id" for my custom categories. Since we have description and name properties are in out of the box alfresco, apart from that i need to add one more property. I don't have any idea on how to customize this. Please help me on this.

I suppose you could try defining your property in an aspect and then adding the aspect to the category nodes. Then, you'll have to do work on the user interface to expose your custom property to the category management pages.
