Hello,

Login as "admin" and select "Administration Console" from the More… actions menu, then select "Category Management" from the console.

You can then use the actions to add/edit/remove categories and sub-categories for your needs.

Thanks,

Kevin

I don't think it's possible to add custom properties to categories at present, as although can you define/modify the categorisation types in the Alfresco model but the UI currently does not have any configuration to show additional properties or different types for categories.

It is possible to configure the advanced search on custom properties attributes:
http://www.alfresco.org/mediawiki/index.php/Advanced_Search_Custom_Attributes

Thanks,

Kevin

The advanced search can be used to configure searching against properties for any new Content Types or Aspects you create in the model. What i meant was that for now although you can define custom categories types in the model, there is no way to create them in the UI at present.

Thanks,

Kevin

You can create a custom Content Type with properties to represent things like a Sales Order if that helps - see http://www.alfresco.org/mediawiki/index.php/Data_Dictionary_Guide.  And then as Kevin describes you can perform searches on the defined custom properties by configuring the Advanced search.

Hello,

I'm reading this link http://www.alfresco.org/mediawiki/index.php/Data_Dictionary_Guide but I have a question, about the examplemodelresourcebundle: How I can named the file?. Because I named this examplemodelresourcebundle.properties and examplemodel.properties and have a error.

Another question, why if this example exists in the extension folder where is this ResourceBundle?. Is this example complete?.

Thanks and regards,

Pedro

I catch this apache message when I start the Alfresco:

09:08:18,776 ERROR [transform.magick.AbstractImageMagickContentTransformer] Imag
eMagickContentTransformer not available: Can't find bundle for base name Example
ModelResourceBundle, locale es_ES

Why appear? If I create this file in the same directory that webclient.xml ? like the example

Thanks,

Pedro
