create content very slow

when i create a new content (system is new installed), it takes more then 15-20 seconds.

Linux, 3 GHz, 1 GB RAM

Hmm. Are you still experiencing the problem?   This is not normal behavior, obviously. 

Are you using tomcat as your web / app server?   Anything else you can tell us?
