Now our team is going to develop the Alfresco Share, whether we could develop it  using Java-Backed Web Script  instead of javascript based Web Script?

I have found a material :http://wiki.alfresco.com/wiki/Java-backed_Web_Scripts_Samples, but I just do not know where I should put the web-scripts-application-context.xml in my Alfresco Share project.

Thanks.

HI,

The Java-backed web script examples don't seem to work in the Surf/Share environment.  I put my bean declaration in

WEB-INF\classes\alfresco\web-extension\custom-web-framework-application-context.xml

since there was no web-scripts-application-context.xml file anywhere.

That seemed to make the bean visible, but I get an error about the web script already being associated with the 'Presentation" container.  If you have better luck, please post!

Really appreciate for your respone.

Now I still do not figure it out,and the material about how to use Java-backed Webscript developing Alfresco Share seems not enough in the forum.

We are really frustrated now,may be it is impossible to develop Share using Java-Backed Web script.

Or some one could give us some resources about this .

Thanks first.

Owen,

I know this is an old post but I am answering anyway for the benefit of anyone googling this.

It is possible to have a Java-backed webscript in Share. If you would like to see how it's done you can follow this thread on another post: Click here. However, I totally agree with MikeH: Your Java-backed webscript should reside in the Alfresco Repository and accessed from Share through a RESTful presentation webscript (server-side) or Ajax call (client-side).

I hope this helps. Cheers.
