Yes, You can define Copy rule on folder.

Ex, You are uploading content to "My Document" folder and you need to copy them to "BackUp" folder
- Define rule on My Document folder
- Select condition as per your requirement, when item is content
- Select action - "Copy"
- Click on "Set Values and add"
- Select destination folder where you want to copy content Ex: [BackUp]
- Select Type = When Items are created or entered …as per your requirement
- Click Finish
Your rule is configured.

For detail how to apply rule pelase check this link -http://docs.alfresco.com/4.2/topic/com.alfresco.enterprise.doc/tasks/library-folder-rules-define.htm...

Thanks, Niketa. It is very helpful.
I created a space say 'test Space' in 'My Documents' and now it is reflected in 'Backup' folder.
Also i have selected "Apply rule to sub spaces" checkbox.
But when I am trying to create content inside 'test Space', it is not reflected in the Backup's test Space folder.
Do I need to do more settings for the same?

I think this is how copy designed…if you have applied rule to subspace.. means when you create a content under "test Space" this content will be created under "Backup" Not under "Backup/test Space"

I dont think any other OOB rule is there.. you may do customization

Other option, If you have selected deep copy and if you move "test Space" with all contents then same folder hierarchy will be created under "Backup" space.
