Content Type Security

Hi all

I am creating my own custom content types. Is there a way I can define security on these types so that only users who have access to these types can see / use them?

Hi,

No today, there is no way to limit the use of a content type to a set of users or to a group.

I am also having similar requirement.
I need to restrict the content types to certain groups.just like fine grain permission model for spaces.
can we have this on the content types or aspects as well?
It will be great if any alfresco engineer can provide his comment on this.
