constant alfresco.smb.protocol errors

Hi,

I have a running 1.4 instance that is working just fine. However, the log is filled with:

22:04:07,698 ERROR [alfresco.smb.protocol] Socket closed by remote client
22:04:08,915 ERROR [alfresco.smb.protocol] Socket closed by remote client
22:04:10,107 ERROR [alfresco.smb.protocol] Socket closed by remote client
22:04:11,308 ERROR [alfresco.smb.protocol] Socket closed by remote client

It appears to be related to the fact that we're mounting alfresco via CIFS on the same box it's running on. (Alfresco is running on linux, and we have a linux CIFS mount point). If I shut down the mount, the errors continue for a while (30 seconds or so), but then stop.

If I remount, things stay quiet for a while, but eventually the errors start up again. You can see from the above that they appear every couple of seconds, so there's got to be a performance hit somewhere.

Any idea what's going on?

Thanks,

Fred

I've also wondered if alfresco is trying to contact some windows domain controller or something. That might explain why there are repeated connections that get immediately closed by the remote. Could that be default behavior? If so, how would I turn that off?

Thanks,

Fred
