Hi, we are using Confluence (http://www.atlassian.com) as our enterprise-wiki. Since the DMS-features are not very rich, we are planning to connect Alfresco Labs 3 via the SharePoint-Plugin (developed by Atlassian). This plugin stores the documents in a SharePoint (WSS v3 or MOSS 2007) document library.
Since Alfresco Labs 3 is compatible with the Sharepoint-protocoll: is it possible to connect Confluence to Alfresco Labs 3 instead of using MS Sharepoint ?
thanks
Heiermann

As BenSwitzer says, the SharePoint connector for Confluence comes with a module that needs to be installed on SharePoint, making an integration with Alfresco much more difficult that it would have been otherwise.
However, I think similar results could be obtained (and in a more open, less proprietary way) by leveraging the CMIS implementation included in Alfresco Labs 3. Since the draft CMIS spec is available, it shouldn't be too hard to write a Confluence plugin that leverages the protocol to talk to Alfresco.
My company, Sourcesense, is an Alfresco and an Atlassian partner and would be interested in developing such a plugin and possibly releasing it as Open Source. In case anyone else is be interested in contributing to such a project, please reply here or drop me a note at u.cei AT sourcesense.com and we can talk about it.
