Connect Alfresco to an External FTP Server

Hello Everybody,

I've a problem that i'm unable, currently, to solve.

I've an Alfresco Installation on an internal Server and I've an FTP Remote Server where I've stored TBs of files/documents.

Is it possible to connect directly my Alfresco Installation to Remote FTP Server?

What should I do if it was not possible?

What do you want alfresco to do with your remote content.    It's not content managed by alfresco.

You probably need to add your content into alfresco.

first of all tnx a lot for your answer.

So a possible solution to my request should be to migrate all my FTP Docs into Alfresco if I understand correctly.

How should I do this kind of operation?

Eventually, should it be a possible solution to add Alfresco Application on External FTP Server and move dir.root to my FTP Server Root Directory? In this way should it work??
