Hi,

While debugging I noticed an interesting code in Activiti.
It crops all the comments longer than 160 symbols.

I was surprised that it does this crop silently without warning a user.

Could this be changed to configurable setting? Or at least provide a warning message?

Was this done to fit database?

It doesn't crop it, it stores it both.
The eventMessage is the shortened version (for UI's for example), while the full message is available in the fullMessage.
