Hi there, I'd appreciate your help very much

I installed the alfresco 2.9B tomcat bundle on ubuntu
configured it to use mysql and left everything else as is

In the logfile it says:

1) 08:23:10,191 ERROR [org.alfresco.smb.protocol] Failed to get local domain/workgroup name, using default of WORKGROUP
08:23:10,191 ERROR [org.alfresco.smb.protocol] (This may be due to firewall settings or incorrect <broadcast> setting)
What do I need to do to get rid of that Error?

2) 08:23:10,650 WARN  [org.alfresco.service.descriptor.DescriptorService] Alfresco JVM - WARNING - maximum heap size 493,063MB is less than recommended 512MB
Where do I set the max heapsize?

Hi again,

the next thing i did was editing the web.xml so alfresco uses the ntlmauthentication. and configured the ntlm-authentication-context.xml entering the dmain and server adress of the ldapserver.

logging in seems to work now, but in the logfile it says after starting alfresco:

hi

that last error with the CIFS stuff was due to the missing block:

  <!– Authenticator should be of type alfresco –>
  <config evaluator="string-compare" condition="Filesystem Security" replace="true">
    <authenticator type="alfresco" />
  </config>‍‍‍‍

in the file-servers-custom.xml in /opt/alfresco/tomcat/shared/classes/alfresco/extension/

now the CIFS error is gone and i can log in with user from the AD

Hi there,

well now that it worked to run alfresco-2-9-0B as mentioned above…
I wanted to build alfresco from the head revision out of the svn using the ant build.xml

But as soon as I do that, and trying to start the alfresco that worked fine before nothing works anymore and I get the following error(s) in the log file:

Does anyone know what I need to do? Or what I do wrong?
I would be very glad to get some help here since I dont get it…
I didn't change anything, only building whats in the svn and nothing works anymore… The changes I made due to ntlm config where all kept after building/deploying using default target.

I have installed alfresco 2.9 beta and I try to access the repository through windows drive mapping as per the instructions in this URL http://dev.alfresco.com/resource/README_tomcat_win.txt. But I couldn't. Then I noticed the following stack trace in the tomcat console.

Can anyone help me to resolve this?
