CIFS Passthru / Authentication

Hi Guys,

This seems to have been covered a few  times but I can't find a solution,

I've installed alfresco on Gentoo Linux and have it all up and running to my satisfaction apart from the dreaded CIFS authentication against AD, my login works fine and so I don't really want to mess with it so in file-servers.xml I changed the broadcast address to the mask listed in my ifconfig output. In the filesystem security I put…

<config evaluator="string-compare" condition="Filesystem Security">
  <authenticator type="passthru">
   <Server>workauthserver1</Server>
  </authenticator>

I've also tried removing the Server tag and putting a domain on in there but it makes no difference.

My windows PC has

alfrescoserver ip.add.re.ss
alfrescoserver_A ip.add.re.ss
in the hosts and lmhosts file but it still makes no difference, i just get access denied errors.

Any tips??

Cheers

Tom

Hi

Try giving the ip address of the server. Also make sure you have replace="true" on teh config evaluator.
