Hi all, I’m evaluating Alfresco as Content Management System for XML files within the following environment: Windows 7 Professional (32-Bit), Alfresco Community - v3.4.0 (d 3370) and the XML-Editor Arbortext Editor 5.3 M150. Two problem have occurred: 1) CIFS: everything works fine, but after checked out a file, editing and saving the working copy within Arbortext, the lock icon on the original file is gone and the working copy is no longer handled as a checked out file (i.e. it is not possible to check in). I know a similar problem has been reported for Word files (ALF-2028) and is already fixed. I tried to checkout and save Word documents and it worked fine. This seems to be a similar but not identical problem? 2) The other problem occurs within Alfresco Share and Explorer: there is no Preview for XML files with (valid) DOCTYPE declaration, e.g. <!DOCTYPE topic PUBLIC "-//OASIS//DTD DITA Topic//EN" Alfresco Share only says: there I no preview possible, Alfresco Explorer gives an error message: „Mehrere DOCTYPE-Deklarationen sind nicht zugelassen. Fehler beim Bearbeiten der Ressource 'http://dosco41:8080/alfresco/d/d… <!DOCTYPE topic PUBLIC "-//OASIS//DTD DITA Topic//EN" ———-^“, which means it is not allowed to have more than one DOCTYPE declaration.
