Change user type in web project

*Disclaimer*
I have scoured the wiki from top to bottom, this forum, and google. Yet I am unable to find how to do this simple action.

A user was originally invited to a  web project as a 'Content Publisher', but now I wish to change them to be a 'Content Manager'.  There appears to be no way in the UI to make this change.  I tried re-inviting them as a  'Content Manager', but this does not appear to have the desired result.

Do I have to hold my big toe to my forehead to achieve this ground breaking task?

Cheers

Hi there,

Which version of alfresco are you using?

If you're using 2.2.2 or before then I would say:
Submit the user's changes. Delete their sandbox ('More Actions -> Delete' from the UI). Re-invite them.

However, if you're using 2.2.3 or later (which includes 3.1 and beyond, but not 3.0.x), then you may need to also manually remove that user from the relevant groups. You can use the admin console for this. You'll see a bunch of auto-generated groups, a bit like 'mywebsite-ContentPublisher'.
Actually, I'm not sure about this last bit…
