Hi,

It depends on what you're using as the app server.

If using Tomcat:
Add the following to your Host definition in server.xml
<Context path="/thectx" docBase="TOMCAT_HOME/webapps/alfresco" debug="0"
         reloadable="true" autoDeploy="true" unpackWARs="true" crossContext="false"/>
If using JBoss:
Override the default by using a context-root element in the war WEB-INF/jboss-web.xml descriptor:
<jboss-web>
    <context-root>thectx</context-root>
</jboss-web>
Hope this helps,

Can't you just change the name of the war file and it will deploy it to a different path?

Or do you want to remove the alfresco bit from the path?

Hi,

Can you be more specific about what part you didn't understand? Do you know what app server you're using?

Also as mentioned if you don't care about renaming the alfresco.war file you can just do that and rename it to <new_context>.war where <new_context> is what you are calling my_new_name_page in your post.

Cheers,

Although be aware there are a few older templates which have a hardcoded "/alfresco" path in them. Easy to update though if you do come across one.
