Hi,

The table in my document library appears really large, only three folders fit on it before I have to scroll down,
How can I customise this?

Thanks

Hello,

"only three folders fit on it" - What kind of a resolution (or device) are you using? Have you configured any additional metadata to be displayed in the document library? Are you  by any chance using large texts for description?

The only way to configure how much space is taken by entries in the document list is via the metadata templates (Alfresco 4) configuration, your browser / screen controls and the amount of text in free text metadata being displayed (such as description, but also name / title, as these may line break if too long)

Axel

Hi,

thanks for the reply,

I have played around with the resolution previously and the appearance improved but the repository still appears larger than we would like.
I am using a desktop. I am not using large text for the description.
I haven't configured any additional metadata.

what are the steps to configure the metafile templates to change the appearance?

Thanks
Sarah

Hello,

there is no configuration affecting this that can be done via metadata templates. I would advise to check the theme CSS - there you should be able to adjust the various layout aspects that result in the large display of the document library.

A screenshot of your Document Library would help illustrate the problem you're seeing.

Thanks,

I changed the settings in the documentlist.get.htnl.ftl to default to simple view and this improved the appearance of the documentlibrary page.
