change role

Hi.

I am a newbie trying out with 3.3g community edition.

I am pulling out my hair with this problem.

I have created three users and invited them to a site.

I designated user #1 as Collaborator, user #2 as Contributor and user #3 as Consumer.

However, under Site Colleagues, they are all Consumer.

I clicked on each user and couldn't find anywhere to change the Role.

Also, when I log in as user #1 (it tells me as Consumer), I went to Document Library, "Upload" button is available to me…hmm…

Any thoughts/suggestions/guidance is greatly appreciated.

OK, I've made some progress.

So I found http://localhost:8080/alfresco portal, in which I can

- log in as "admin"
- click on "Company Home" on the left hand side
- expand "User Homes", click on a user
- click on "More Actions" drop down and select "Manage Space Users"
- click on the person with a pencil icon under "Actions"
- change the Role

I modified User #1 as Collaborator, User #2 as Contributor, User #3 as Consumer.

However, I went back to http://localhost:8080/share, login as User #2, "Upload" icon under "Document Library" is still unavailable to me.

I am stuck again.

Help?!

UPDATE:

I change User #2 to Editor, but still can't upload files…  :?
