Change instance current task to another one

Hi,

Is there any option to update a process instance current task to another one (I need it for processing workflow in the administrative way). If yes how to achive this by REST API.


I've found similar topic <a href="https://forums.activiti.org/content/change-instance-current-task-another-task-flow">here</a>. I tells that this kind of operation is not supported but it is 3 years old so I'd like to review that information.

There isa  low-level way of doing that (the SetProcessDefinitionCmd), but not via the Rest api.
