Change default dashlets?

Is there documentation on how to change the default dashlets for new user and new site dashboards?

There are a few default dashlets that I do not want my new users and sites to get.

Thanks

update the presets.xml accordingly

Updating the 'presets.xml' isn't enough. I changed the document and placed it into the folder '/opt/tomcat5.5/shared/classes/alfresco/web-extension/site-data/presets'. Unfortunately Share still shows the dashlets which aren't in my 'presets.xml' and also doesn't do anything with the columns I assigned the dashlets to. Seems that this file isn't read by Share. Anyone have any suggestions on how to get this working?

The changes in file 'presets.xml', only as effect for new users and sites.
The users and sites created before that changes already have is information stored somewhere.

I´m aware of that. When I changed the ´presets.xml´ and started Alfresco, I made a new user. This user should have the dashlets (without Getting Started for example), which I described. But still, this user gets the dashlet ´Getting Started´ and some other default dashlets. Also, the column I assigned several dashlets to weren´t on the right position (e.g. I assigned the 'My tasks' to the third column, third position from the top. It still shows as the first dashlet in the second column).

I changed this file on share and now whenever I create a user or site, they are configured correctly.
From what I noticed you changed your presets.xml file, in folder shared/…, I'm not sure if Share  accept customization in this folder, but frankly it seems to me that this folder is only used by Alfresco.
I changed the file directly in the folder: share \ WEB-INF \ classes \ alfresco \ site-data \ presets, and its works.

I hope MikeH or other more experienced users say if this is the unique way.

Thanks for your reply. I'll try this for now, but I'm sure that Share does something with the 'shared'-folder. In the same presets.xml I've defined new types of sites (Company specific private site, company specific collaboration site and a company specific projects site). These type of sites work when I run Share.

But let's lope one of the experienced users can give us an answer!

I tried to do exactly the same with the same results. Based on debug-logs Share seems to migrate your custom file with the default one.

Not sure it's a bug, but created this issue back then:
