I have a: Free shell scripts. One installs PostgreSQL, one PgAdmin and PgAgent, last one installs Alfresco v4.0a Community PDF howto Reproduce-able install gets same results each time. Install of Java JDK and Alfesco is scripted via Firefox as far as possible. The OS install needs to have the "Desktop" so you have a gui to install on. It will work on Scientific Linux 6 also. I haven't tried CentOS/SL's Upstream Vendor yet. Sets up self signed cert https also.
Thanks for the feedback and links. If you have time, please feel free to create a new wiki page that details the steps to install Alfresco Community 4.0a on CentOS 6.0 (with PostgreSQL). Example pages for earlier releases include: http://wiki.alfresco.com/wiki/Category:Centos
